It really means so very much to me that we are staying at Wilderness Lodge. This represents big changes in our lives.
A little backstory:
We used to be incredibly in debt. I worked for a big company and worked long hours, made lots of money and spent it all (and then some!) We were going further in debt every year. Money was always a stressor.
Somewhere during that time, we went on a Disney World vacation (that we probably put on a credit card) and had lunch at Whispering Canyon in Wilderness Lodge. I remember being so in awe. I also had what I’ve heard called Imposter Syndrome: I felt like I didn’t belong at Wilderness Lodge. We couldn’t afford to stay there so we shouldn’t be there. So much of my thought process involved money and just how much we didn’t have.
Fast forward to this moment:
The minute we walked in to Wilderness Lodge earlier today. It was nothing short of a spiritual experience for me. Sharing this may not make me more popular, but it’s who I am. My relationship with God is the most important part of my life and I can’t share so much of myself and edit Him out. So I’m just going to own it and share.
Arriving at Wilderness Lodge and being reminded of who I was not so long ago and remembering who I have become was a truly excellent moment.
It wasn’t a “look at me, I’ve made it” moment. It was more like God said, “See what happens when you let Me have my way?”
The Lobby is so beautiful. I’d like to spend some time around that fireplace!
As a mom, this display had my attention.
Our room! We are staying in a DVC room and love the full kitchen.
Look at that massive bed! Cy-guy is a co-sleeper and we only have a Queen at home. Bed real estate is at a premium. I already napped in that bed and it was very comfortable.
Unique shutters that allow me to take a bath and still chat with Mike.
The view off our balcony.
Seth burst open the shutters and sang from Beauty and the Beast. It was pretty cute.
We were so wiped from getting little sleep last night that we just ate yogurt for dinner. We ordered groceries from Instacart and had another flawless experience, except that I forgot eggs. Instacart delivers just a few hours after ordering. And they shop at whatever store you prefer. You pay normal grocery store pricing + a small service fee ($7 for me today.) Here is my link for $10 off and Free Delivery: http://bit.ly/SMPDinstacart
I am so excited for the next several days: Epcot tomorrow! Frozen Ever After FastPass. I will try and post regularly, at least pictures if I don’t have time to write. Let me know if there’s anything specific you want me to check out and report back on!
